Most gymnasts begin in a recreational program - the best way to find out what this sport is all about. Many remain at the level of training once a week, for fitness and fun, for many years. Others decide to add another day per week of training so that they can prepare to be part of groups that occasionally perform publicly, at demonstrations in schools, malls, fairs, etc. in and around Toronto. These are the AGG (Aesthetic Group Gymnastics) teams, still doing rhythmic gymnastics for the fun and fitness benefits - and because they enjoy being with their friends in the group! They may also decide to join the competitive branch of Kalev for more intensive training.

In order to facilitate the training, so that the girls do not have to travel all over  the GTA to find a gym, we have training gyms at many locations. The gymnasts progress from "Beginner tots", via "Advanced child" to Elite AGG or competitive RG programs.

On this page we will try to document some of the training and other events happening at these local gyms. In addition, like all Kalev members, these gymnasts also perform at the Winter Break Party, at Parents' Night (last class in June) and at our year-end showcase with all Kalev gymnasts in May.
