ALUMNAE ELITE




.....In addition to our child and junior elite groups who compete at Interclub and Provincial levels (see HERE), we also have our famous "Alumnae Elite", who also compete on the Provincial level.
    When competitors and elite performers "retire", many still want to remain in contact with their sport. Some coach, others join the Alumnae Elite! The group also welcomes dancers, artistic gymnasts and any other adult who wants high level performance training.

       These women maintain their stamina and flexibility by training once a week, more often prior to a performance. Due to their skills and experience, their routines have an edge that is sometimes lacking in younger groups. In addition, they stay with the group to a great extent because rhythmics is FUN, and this is something that they communicate to the audience, which, in turn, makes their performances particularly enjoyable.

Some of the team - Kathy, Monica, Kati, Heli, Linda (Makk) and Taimi - are pictured here with their team manager for many years: Elizabeth Barnsley. Mrs. Barnsley travelled with the team all over the world - from Russia to South Africa.

2008-2009 season

As in 2005-6, Antton Laine from Finland made the free competition routine for the Alumnae Elite:

2007-2008 season

At the "Red Ribbon" competition, the Alumnae Elite once again won gold in their category (Interclub 5) with a total of 19.8843 point for their two routines, free and creative. Their free routine, choreographed by Sonia Glyzina from Russia gave them 11.7667 points!

2006-2007 season

The Alumnae Elite members continued to train and their hard work paid off: they won the gold at Red Ribbon 2007!

2005-2006 season

  2004-2005 season

The group decided to work without a coach this year, but they still had two routines and competed, winning silver at the 2005 Red Ribbon event!

The members, some of whom started competion and performing in the 1970's and were part of Kalev's famous Senior Elite team, are Sandra Bauer, Kathy Beckwith, Monica Eder, Heli Oder-Evelyn, Taimi Petersoo, Tamara Tambre and Kati Tihane.
Below are photos from the "Red Ribbon" competition where the team showed two routines they choreographed on their own: "Mueve La Cadera " using hoops and ribbons, and a free routine, "Midnight Waltz".

1999 - 2000 season
