Alena is Russian and began RG at age 5 and has trained with Svetlana Joukova and Tatiana Kastsenkava at Kalev. During the years 2005 - 2009, she was a member of the National Junior Group. She was invited to the Elite Canada competition three times.

Alena joined the Expressions in 2009. In 2010, Alena competed at the World Cup in Barcelona, Spain and in 2011, in World Cup II in Vigo, Spain, and at the World Championships in Estonia.

Her hobbies are music, shopping, friends, travelling, etc.
