Kalev 'A' came in shared 10th place in the preliminaries and were 9th in the finals. Team 'B' was in 17th place. Full results are posted to the Canadian Aesthetics website.

World Cup V, Finland, October 10-12, 2008


Team A went to Vantaa in Finland to compete in the fifth World Cup. Once again they were unable to attend with a full team. Two of the regular team members were could not go and only one replacement could be found. They still placed 7th, which is a very good result under the circumstances.

Team members were Dora Judeiken, Katia Kharlip, Stephanie Koop, Diana Kwon, Marie-Eve St. Arnaud and Rosanna Tso. Judge Alla Kosheleva and coach Anna Hassinen travelled with the team.

World Cup III, Spain, May 22-24, 2008

And our International Team A (to the right) travelled to Spain to compete at the 3rd World Cup in Cartagena, May 22-24.

In spite of only six of the team's seven gymnasts were able to make the trip, but in spite of this, they still placed 8th! Quite an achievement by gymnasts and coach!

World Cup II, Prague, April 25-27, 2008

Kalev's International Team B (right at another event) competed at World Cup II in Prague, the Czech Republic om April 25 - 27.

The team came in 11th place.

Sight-seeing with Alla in Prague

November 2, 2008, the Expressions - with Rosie Cossar as a soloist - performed at the Contessa Awards and fashion show at the Sheraton Hotel, Toronto.

In October 2008, we had another performance at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, this time at the Bell Gala for Sick Kids.

The show involved having elaborate makeup done: above are Rosanna Tso, Diana Kwon and Rosie Cossar. On the right: Evelyn Koop with former Kalev gymnast and Expression-member Irina Funtikova, who is a model and worked at this event.

In September 2008, the Expressions performed at a General Motors celebration at the Toronto Convention Centre.
