CAPE TOWN 1997



From her travels to competitions as a Judge, Evelyn Koop brought back an invitation to send some of her gymnasts to Cape Town to perform and compete. After selection and training, a team of six travelled to South Africa in October, 1997:

Gloria Hui, Heli Oder, Vanessa Livingston, Jessie Sorell, Susanna Wadsten and Melissa Jung.

... tired team from Cape Town. The Expressions met them with a buffet prepared by the parents, then each one brought at least one guest home.

to take a boat tour of the harbour at sunset.

At the World Gymnaestrada in Sweden 1999, the Expressions met one of the gymnasts from Cape Town who visited Canada in 1998:

"THE FOUR ELEMENTS" 1997

For  the 1997 performance at the Premiere Dance Theatre a new work was added: "The Four Elements" with each part created by a different choreographer.
